Origin Of This Website

Well it was December 2002 when I was surfing through the net to find something for my history project for high school.I went to various encyclopedia websites but wherever I went all that I found was a Pay Pal sign asking huge sums of money to access their resources. It was costlier than buying an Encarta CD .

An idea struck my mind that I should make a website which offers free reference material because the other people were also suffering the same problem as me. I thought this would drive huge traffic . Initially I got none. I did not get discouraged though and I started improving upon my website. I went to various chat rooms and told people to view my website. I told my friends and relatives and slowly I started increasing traffic to my website.

I hope you will spread the word about this website and help make it the biggest free encyclopedia on the Internet.
