NinDS - Mage Knight: Destiny's Soldier

Tabletop gamers fell in love with the tabletop strategy game MAGE KNIGHT, and now gamers can capture all the fun and joy of the game without the table with Namcos MAGE KNIGHT for the Nintendo DS. This RPG turn-based strategy game recreated the tabletop gaming experience as only the DS could. Players take on the role of a retired general forced back into the fray when the countrys army becomes in dire need of an experienced commander to help them defeat the forces of the evil wizard Solonavi. With a force of fantastic units at their disposal, players issue orders and move their armies across the field while taking down enemies and securing territory. Players will have a large number of different units that can be incorporated into their army, allowing them to customize their forces. They will also be able to select specific items and equipment for units. Using the DS touch screen, players will actually be able to pick up units and move them across the board in a way very similar to the tabletop gaming experience. The touch screen will also be used to issue orders, deploy troops, and roll dice, truly capturing the experience and recreating the game as faithfully as possible. The way the DS touch screen is used to reproduce the feel of a board game is fresh and new, and the deep storyline and huge number of units the MAGE KNIGHT world includes will keep players interested and engaged.
