Can the Remnants, a group of humans with little technology, and the Ascension, the faction based on robots and vehicles, stop their fighting long enough to save earth? Players can play as either one of the two human factions or as the aliens, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Many of the battles in MAELSTROM will have the gamer battling both of the other factions, making the game very action-packed. There are also levels that bring in third-person action gaming, giving players a chance to get right in the action instead of merely directing units. MAELSTROM, with its combination of RTS and third-person action, is a unique and exciting game.
