There are two levels of game play and two different endings. Children guide the outcome of the game. There are preschool activities integrated in the quest.

Young players, ages 3-7, will help guide Rainbow Fish through a maze of mad crabs to free Molo and herd mussels into the right color groups to find Ruby.
Other activities include helping a hermit crab find a lost friend, getting flowers to bloom to reveal a baby sea horse and more.
