The SuperStar Reading System is a thoroughly enjoyable research based system designed to supplement development of phonemic awareness and early reading games. The SuperStar Reading System is a comprehensive bundle containing the popular Phonics 1a, Phonics 1b, Phonics 2 and Phonics 3a along with the great introductory title Letter and Numbers.

Reading is a process and our programs work progressively through that process. The basic steps of learning to read through phonics involve:
1. Recognizing the letters of the alphabet ( Letters & Numbers ).
2. Recognizing the letters in words ( Letters & Numbers ).
3. Recognizing the sounds of the vowels ( Phonics 1a - Vowel Sounds ).
4. Recognizing the sounds of the consonants ( Phonics 1b - Consonants Sounds ).
5. Forming words by sounding out the letters in the word ( Phonics 1a - Vowel Sounds, Phonics 1b - Consonants Sounds and Phonics 2 - Intermediate Level ).
6. Blending individual sounds to form words ( Phonics 1b - Consonants Sounds and Phonics 2 - Intermediate Level ).
7. Recognizing words (sight words) that don't follow the phonics rules.
8. Recognizing sound patterns ( Phonics 2 - Intermediate Level ).
9. Building a vocabulary of words ( Phonics 1a - Vowel Sounds, Phonics 1b - Consonants Sounds and Phonics 2 - Intermediate Level ).
10. Building sentences from words ( Phonics 1b - Consonants Sounds and Phonics 2 - Intermediate Level ).
