Four teenagers in a remote mountain cabin play a mysterious unlabeled videotape, a bizarre series of images that ends with a dire warning. Exactly one week later, all four are dead of apparent heart failure. The uncle of one of the victims, reporter Kazuyuki Asakawa, scents a story, and his pursuit of the truth leads him to view the tape himself.
